Dr. Cesar Cavini

Clinical and Administrative Director

Dr. Cesar Cavini is the founder of Clínica Memorial. Hes has worked as a surgeon for over 30 years and has completed his undergraduate and graduate education at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Dr. Cesar is well-known in the southern Minas Gerais Region for the excellent results he has delivered in treating patients throughout his career. He holds several graduate degrees from the Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgia.

Dr. Cesar is one of the pioneers of radiation therapy in the southern region of the state of Minas Gerais, where he established the most up-to-date technologies in the field. He believes that technology and quality professionals to operate it are of paramount importance for exceptional results in medicine. Throughout the years, he has gathered an exceptional team around the very best tech available.

Dra. Ludmila Siqueira

Radiation Therapist

One of the pioneers in the field of radiosurgery in Brazil. Dr. Ludmila has decades of experience within several fields of radiation therapy. With published scientific work, work and research experience in the United State, she has also worked in renowned hospitals in Brazil, such as HCor in São Paulo and the Hospital das Clínicas da Unicamp in Campinas.

She was the head of two major radiation therapy clinics, namely, those of the Mater Dei Hospital in Belo Horizonte, MG and the Centro de Oncologia Campinas (COC).

Dr. José Augusto Pimenta

Nuclear Medicine Physician and Cardiologist

Dr. José Augusto is one of the physicians that conduct the activities at Clinica Memorial’s nuclear medicine division.

For over two decades working as a doctor in this field, Dr. José Augusto has been part of the clinical team at some medical institutions of renown in South America and abroad, such as the Hospital das Clínicas da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (HCUFMG), the Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (HCFMUSP) and the Hospital da Beneficência Portuguesa em São Paulo, where to this day he is head of the nuclear medicine department.  He holds a medical degree from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) as well as several post-graduate degrees, including a doctorate from USP.

Dr. Fernando Risso

Radiation Therapist

With over 10 years of experience in radiation therapy, Dr. Fernando received his post-graduate degree in radiation therapy from the Sociedade Brasileira de Radiologia – where to this day he is an active member. His residency took place at the Centro de Oncologia Campinas (COC). At Clínica Memorial, he contributes to the treatment of our patients with his knowledge in advanced techniques in radiation therapy and radiosurgery.

Dr. Bruno Bottega

Nuclear Medicine Physician

With a degree in Medicine from the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora, Dr. Bruno holds his post-graduate degree in nuclear medicine that he obtained at the A. C. Camargo Cancer Center – a internationally renowned center for medical research and education locades in São Paulo. Dr. Bruno is one of the doctors in charge of the PET/CT and nuclear medicine unit.

Dr. Aref Muhiedinne

Radiation therapist

With over two decades of experience in the health-care sector, Dr. Aref has worked in several states throughout Brazil and abroad in academics and health-care. His dedication to cancer care also finds an avenue of expression in the social project Moça Bonita, which he conceived and which he implemented.

The goal of the project was prevention and personalization of treatment of young women with cancer. He was a resident of the Hospital Sírio Libanês, where also obtained a postgraduate degree in neuro oncology.

Aline Ragonezi

Medical Physicist

Holding a degree in medical physics that she got from UNICAMP, where she was a resident, Aline has been part of the team since 2016. She is the chief physicist in our branch in Alfenas, MG.

She also holds titles of Radioprotection Supervisor awarded by the National Commission for Nuclear Energy (CNEN), and post-graduate  accreditation in Medical Physics by the Associação Brasileira de Física Médica (ABMF).

Hedi Grangeiro

Medical Physicist

Hedi is a physicist with an undergraduate degree from the Faculdades Oswaldo Cruz. He holds a postgraduate title of Specialist in Medical Physics and Radiation Therapy from the Associação Brasileira de Física Médica (ABMF).

He has spent time working as a physicist at the HCor in São Paulo and nodays contributes to our team with complex modes of planning for radiation therapy and radiosurgery.

Wagner Yaegashi

Medical Physicist

Wagner holds an undergraduate degree in Medical Physics from UNICAMP and did his residency in the Hospital das Clínicas of the same university. Has has worked in the field of radiation therapy for over a decade and is the head physicst in our Poços de Caldas branch.

He holds post-graduate titles of Radioprotection Supervision from the National Committee for Nuclear Energy (CNEN) and is a member of the Associação Brasileira de Física Médica (ABFM).

Guilherme de Carvalho

Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Guilherme is part of both treatment and diagnostics teams at Clinica Memorial. He has ample training in various forms of diagnostics and treatment with radiation and radiopharmaceuticals. For over two decades, he has worked in radiation therapy and nuclear medicine.

His training includes accreditation in in medical center in Texas, USA and at the Sírio Libanês hospital  and the Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da USP in São Paulo (HCFMUSP).

Cesar M Cavini

Administrative and Financial Director

Holding bachelors in physics, mathematics and economics from Boston University and with years of research in biotechnology, biomolecular engineering in labs in the United States, Cesar works in the administrative, financial and product development side of Clínica Memorial.
